(A new section: favorite art quotes by some special voices of the past)

ART WASHES AWAY FROM THE SOUL THE DUST OF EVERYDAY LIFE. - Picasso -

  • The art of a people is a true mirror of their minds! - Jawaharial Nehru -

    Hi DAGMAR,
This is Clyde Jr. I was just checking out your site. Great photos!
I only spent a few minutes because I am on a slow connection at the moment,
plus I wanted to introduce myself.
It just so happens that one of my favorite pictures of my father dancing was taken by you.
It is from the 'With My Eyes, With My Hands' piece.
It will be one of the photographs that will be featured on a website that I am currently working on.
I have a site up now that is from my internet & web publishing course.
It is based not as much on content as it is on incorporating sound and animation.
    Here is the url: http://www.acs.brockport.edu/~cmor0708
I will eventually have a site that focuses on my artwork.
I have spent the last couple of years working with computer graphics,
but now I am focusing on painting and drawing again.

I've loved your work for a long time & I am glad to let you know that!
    Peace&Love CGM

Thank you for the gift of your website
    Hello Dagmar,
I was searching for the author of the axiom "Nagging is the repetition of unpalatable truths",
and your site was churned up by the engine.
Once I got the information (Edith Summerskill--thank you very much),
I couldn't stop taking big gulps of your website. How fascinating, textured, artful, fun...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your art.
It has made a wonderful day even better.
    Best regards,
    Liz Zelandais (lizagnaremove@yahoo.com) Sacramento, CA

Your pages are great, very readable and interesting.
Web pages that have focused on content are much much better than those with fancy things.
Besides a good artistic sense is often measured not by how much you have
but by how much you do with a little, right?

    hello from san francisco
it is the strangest thing. i was looking for a site i had book marked earlier
and for some mysterious reason, your site was in my bookmarks?
i don't know when or how your site was entered into my book marks.
i am a third generation native of tucson. i live in san francisco now
and i am working on my masters in museum studies.
i miss my home a lot and it was a delight to see it from your eyes.
i am a painter too, and my favorite place to paint was on location in the desert.
the light is so abundant and intense. it is such a contrast from the light in san francisco.
here it is mostly gray and yet, it releases the colors around it.
i recently was in paris and i noticed that all the gray there is what makes the city so beautiful.
    gray makes color come alive.

it is amazing that you are settled in tucson after coming from such a beautiful place.
however when looking at the way you paint it,
i can see that you have found the magic in your every environment you are.
    i enjoyed your web site.

    the pilgrimage...
    Anton,
What were the altitudes you encountered in the Pyrennes on your pilgrimage?
I look forward to more pictures on your site.

    Hi there!
It was very nice to see you again and your 'rascal'...
and am thankful that he was willing to talk to Camille
and give her some tips about the world of art!
We are amazed at Anton's beautiful artwork and story of his 'walk'
...and I am still looking at your website
and admiring all your beautiful photography, Miss Dagmar!
    Thanks again,

    Ceiling painting
Just visited the chapel site - amazing. I shall have to go for real.
    On a technicality - it's all fresco, because that's the procedure -
if you call a wall fresco a mural, what do you call a ceiling fresco?
All good wishes. I especially liked the goose.

    Happy 2002!!
    Darling Dagmar,
Thank you so much for sending me a picture of my beloved twin.
It means so much to me. Every time I see a photo of him from the "good days of theatre",
my heart is moved deeply. I miss him beyond words.
Happy 2002 to you and all those you love.
I am looking forward to the next time we are together.
Sorry you lost your flat, but better things are coming!
    Love,

    The Venice Poster!
Just to let you know the poster arrived yesterday, beautifully ! ! !
Wow, am I ever proud to own an Anton Krajnc work of art.
I just took a stroll through your website and it's better than an afternoon in a candy store.
You take your art in so many directions and conquer each to its limit
and I love the way you take your work that step further by researching the history of your subjects.
I loved reading about your adventures at Castle Bernau -
you just never stop learning new things, new crafts, new techniques. . . . .
I am quite enthralled that you took the time to personalize this small purchase
and feel so honored that you have personally signed my poster.
Thank you so very much. -- Happy holidays!

    HELLO
    I have MISSED YOU!
My, but our world has changed here since you two left.
I am sure glad, Dag, that you and Toni are back safe,
and I will look forward to the details of your travels, photos and hugs!
I have a young Italian student who absolutely LOVES, and I mean LOVES your website
and wants to bring friends out for a visit to meet you both when you get settled.
Gianluigi is working on internships this semester, and he very much enjoys working with people.
He would like to share your website and maybe some of your creativity with others in Tucson.
I will let him chat about it with you.
Gianluigi and I are serving with others on a search committee for the new director of the UA's INTL Student Center.

    Welcome home!
    Dagmar and Anton, dear friends,
If you are reading this, it must mean you are safely back home.
Must have been some adventure, leaving on Sep 10, and coming back
just when another plane crashes in NY.
Hope you are ok, and not too tired. We were worried about you,
but expect you had a great time in Europe, away from the madness.
    Hugs,
    Alit and Fred

    Lieber Anton,

    Dagmar -
I saw some of your shots of Jobriath in the rough cut of the VH1 show.
    they're BEAUTIFUL.
The praise is sincere - and deserved! Wow.
They have this quality that makes me happy and sad at the same time.

About Dee Murray, Elton John's late Bassist:
    Hi Dagmar,
Everyone said these are the absolute best shots ever taken of Dee.
I let them know you are the photographer and that to contact you,
just press on the link at the picture site. Everyone including Nigel Olsson loved them.
I heard through someone else that he is very touched by the website.
The picture of Dee on the front page and the ones in the garden
    everyone is raving about.
I plan on buying another one within the next couple weeks.
Hope you have more! I am so glad I found you!!!!

I also loved the phrase for today about chocolate.

    Did you see this one:
"Put 'eat chocolate' on your list of things to do today.
That way you'll get at least one thing done!" HA. Works for me, Dagmar

    Dear Artist
There is no way you could remember me but I do remember my promise to you.
It was given in Urbino, Italy, in late August of the year 1998 in an afternoon
with a promise of thunder and great heat by a finnish girl full of admiration to your work.
I bought something and when packing it we talked a while.
I asked if you were interested to come to Finland.

Unfortunately (if not) I am not a person with a posh gallery and influential contacts.
But all these three years, just about daily, I have been thinking of this delayed promise
to send you information for professional connections to the Finnish art life.
So here it is, finally. It may not be useful to you but it will defintely do miracles to my conscience.

Moreover, I still do hope that you would someday present your works here:
they are bound to be loved. All the best to you in the whole of your life

    Hallo Dagmar,

jedesmal wenn man hinschaut, entdeckt man was neues.
