Growing Old
I had a weird Turtle sighting yesterday. Flipping through
channels I caught a glimpse of a group of kids, one wearing a Leo mask!
The kids were visiting/entertaining elderly people with alzheimers. I
checked the TV guide and it was called "Growing Old" and it was on some
little tiny local cable channel.

Al had a pet turtle. The poor turtle had an accident (SNIFF). At the pet
doctor, Al told the doctor, what Scooter (the pet turtle) likes:
"He only gets the best food. The best salad. And can he get a color TV?
He likes to watch NINJA TURTLES!"

A Time To Learn
It was about how infants learned to talk and at one
point had two five year olds (boy and girl) playing with all four large
sized plush TMNT dolls while whispering to each other about something.
:) Cute!
The other sighting came near the end of the show with a 3 year old
holding a smaller plush Leo and saying "A big Leonardo" to his Dad. :)

Hangin' with Mr. Cooper
Cooper has just fessed up that he wasn't really the one who stopped a recent
bank robbery, it was a woman, and he'd been lying and taking all the credit
for it.
Some actress on the show: Who was that woman?
Cooper: I dunno! She was just like this Mutant Ninja Wonder Chick or
something!

In the scene, two slightly panic stricken folk had just run into a room, to try to save the other two from impending doom, at the hands, err teeth, of a potentially poisonous fish. Seems
the 'pet' that had been purchased was a killer (or so the panicked duo had seen on tv). The four argued about the safety of the fish and the following took place:
But it was on the telly!
So were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Oh yeah. Heh, they were good, weren't they?

In Living Color
I was watching an old skit from the show "In Living Color" and there was a
scene with 2 of the guys playing pimpish executives trying to sell
afro-versions of classic movies and at the end of the skit, one of the guys
said "We also did Teenage Mutant Negro Turtles!"

Teen Angel
In one ep. Steve invites Jordan to go to a wrestling match thingy instead of his angel buddy, Marty. Marty does the whole 'big eye' thing at Steve, who says something similar to:
Steve: Hey man, what's up? I haven't seen you this upset since you found out the Ninja Turtles weren't real...
Marty: I told you NEVER to mention that..!

The two boys (Ya know, the two who are always wearing whacky hats. Shawn
and ?) wanted to find a new extreme sport. While they tried to find
something, one of them had an accident and crashed with his head against
a shelf and a NT-TNM Donatello figure fell down on a toy chute and
slided it down!!!
Then they took the Donnie action figure and then they said:
"I've got it! Imagine, that Donatello is real!"
"This wouldn't be the first time."

Roseanne
Geeze...the turtles seem to keep popping up in one form or another.
Last night Anthony and I were watching Roseanne, and he noticed that
DJ's door had a TMNT poster on it. I didn't see it, but he said he
thinks it was the movie poster. :) Anyway, then a few mins later in
the same episode, guess who should appear but Judith Hoag! Coincidence?
I think not! ;)

"Bernard And The Genie"
Look at for a telemovie named "Bernard And The Genie" - a tale about
a newly-sacked art historian who finds a genie (Lenny Henry) in an old
lamp.
Towards the end of the story, the two use the Genie's wish-granting
powers to thrill the kids visiting Santa's workshop in a department
store. One little boy goes in with a turtle doll, and comes out with
a live ninja turtle (Leonardo, played by David Forman from the first
movie), who does a few ninja moves. (This is also in the movie section, but subbmitted by Raph)

Conan O'Brian
There was a Conan skit in which they watched various satelite programs.
One of the channels they watched was the cartoon superheros network.
Conan: Next we're going to watch the Cartoon Superheros Network.
Andy: Oh yeah, they brought out Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a few
years back.
Conan: Yeah, yeah. Well, now they're debuting their latest: Heavy
Metal Cross Dressing Country Club Hogs.
Thus followed a montage mimicking the TMNT theme song, with pictures of
tatooed hogs wearing womens clothing in various country club settings.
There was another skit done on Conan O'Brien of the same type:
Embrionic Polka-dotted Rockabilly Fighter Pilots. You can imagine what that one looked like.

Cheers
In one episode (not sure
which one) some one says something about Mutant Turtles (they don't actualy
say Teenage Mutnt Ninja Turtles). Then Cliff goes and says that most
people don't realize that "they" started out as a comic book.

The other sighting is from the last episode of Cheers. At the very
beginning, before the theme song or anything, they're watching that awards
show on the TV. The host of the awards show says something like, "And now here is Alistair Cooke and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Oh, there was another cheers one, in fact; the epi where Frasier was
going to get the bar interested in the great classics. He was

sewer lair." Everyone immeadetly became interested and Norm said

NBC
Our local NBC station has these
short little commercial type things they show every now and then called
"The more you know" (not sure if this is done nationally). There's this
one about reading, telling kids to read and stuff. And for one of the
shots they have of one of the news anchors is of him reading an issure
of the TMNT Image series!

E!
On E! (The
Entertainment channel) they used to have a segment in which they would
stop people on the street and ask them if anyone ever told them they
looked like a celebrity. Then, E! would put in a photo of the
celebrity and play sound effects according to if they thought it was a
match or not, and they would save the best one for last and play a big
gong sound with it. Well, this one woman said people told her she
looked like a Ninja Turtle, so they put up a picture of Leonardo from
TMNTI and she got the gong sound.

A Made for TV Movie, Sometime. . .
There was a made for TV movie that came out in about '90 or early
'91 that starred Markie Post. I think she was in a car accident, and
a man and his son who lived on a farm rescued her, and carried her
back to their house while she was unconcious. She was lying on the
couch, still out cold, and the son leaned over and said "Can we keep
her?!" JUST like Mike from TMNT1.

Some show on Fox after the Simpsons, sometime. . .
There was a sitcom on Fox in about '90. I think it was on
following the Simpsons, and it starred Wendy Jo whats-her-name. She
wore a Ninja Turtle costume in one episode. Hmm, anybody can help me
be less vague here?
UPDATE: The short-lived sitcom was called "Babes" and it was
on Fox after the Simpsons in 90 or 91. In one episode, the main
character dressed up as Michaelangelo to entertain a bunch of kids. She
even yelled "Cowabunga." :)
