The Tract

ROMANS 3:10 - As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.

To be righteous means to be good, or innocent, or to have a right standing relationship with God. The Bible tells us that there is not one person on earth who is able to stand before God on his own.

ROMANS 3:23- For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We are unable to stand righteous before God because we are sinners; each of us has sinned, and we will continue to sin. It is our nature to sin, whether we are willing to admit it or not. The word sin in Bible times was actually an archery term that meant to miss the mark. Anything less than a perfect score was sin. We have all failed to live up to the standard of perfection that God has set for us.

ROMANS 5:12- Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because all sinned.

We have inherited our sin nature from the first man, Adam. Adam and Eve sinned when they fell to Satan’s temptation in the garden of Eden. God’s ideal for man was to be perfect in every way. He longed to enjoy fellowship with him forever. But God created man with his own free will, giving him the ability to make decisions and to choose between right and wrong. Adam and Eve made the choice to disobey God. As a result, God drove them out of the garden of Eden, and from that moment on, they began to die both physically and spiritually. Their fellowship with God was severed. This is how man is today. Before we come to know the Lord in a real and personal way, we are separated from God.

ROMANS 6:23- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Notice that it says that the wages of sin is death. You have to earn death as a result of your sin. In contrast, Jesus gives us eternal life as a gift. There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn it! Many try to earn God’s favor by being good, going to church, or performing rituals, but we cannot earn our salvation.

ROMANS 5:8- But God demonstrated His own love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

God showed each of us how much He loved and cared for us by sending His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus gave His life in exchange for ours.

ROMANS 10:13- Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If we cry out to Jesus and ask for His help, He will save us from death. He has never refused anyone who has cried out to Him.

ROMANS 10:9-10- If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.

This is what you must do: confess with your mouth that you are a sinner and that Jesus is Lord, believe this with all of your heart, and God will give you His gift of eternal live. God offers each of us a precious gift, but we must reach out and receive it from the One who offers it to us.

If you want to receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior at this time then pray the following prayer:

Dear God. I know that I am a sinner and I believe that I need a savior. I believe that Jesus died in my place to pay for my sins. I believe that He rose from the dead and is alive today. I receive your forgiveness and gift of eternal life because of what Jesus did for me not because I deserve it or could ever earn it. Lord Jesus come into my life, be my Lord and be my Savior. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, sincerely meaning it in your heart, then you have been forgiven for all of your sins. God has applied Jesus death to your account and your sins have been cast as far as East is from West. You are a new creature in Christ. You have been born-again and are now entering in to a new life with Christ as your Lord. Now you will be able to read the Bible (which is God’s love letter to you) and actually understand it. Please let us know if you have made this commitment and we will help you find a church where you can grow in your understanding of this new relationship you have with God.
