The Houston Obedience Training Dog Club was formed in 1964 to encourage and assist members and other interested persons to train their dogs to compete in trials according to the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.

H.O.T. offers obedience classes to the public and members at the puppy, basic, novice and advanced level. Classes are also offered for those interested in tracking.

Club sponsored activities include AKC licensed obedience and agility trials, licensed tracking dog, tracking dog excellent and variable surface tracking tests and canine good citizen tests.

On occasion, H.O.T. will host an obedience or tracking seminar, or host a NAFA Flyball Tournament.

Members of the H.O.T. Dog Club also support the dog community by entering in and stewarding for other organization’s obedience trials, agility trials and flyball tournaments and by participating in or serving as tracklayers for area tracking tests.

We would like to invite anyone interested in the H.O.T. Dog Club to attend our monthly meeting on the First Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Spring Branch Community Center, 1721 Pech Road.
