This helps new members learn what H.O.T. has to offer, help them to get to know our members and allow us the opportunity to get to know them and their dog(s). New members are expected to attend our monthly business meetings as this is where they learn about our activities. New members are encouraged to volunteer, to join in our activities, and to join us for coffee after meetings and class. |

 H.O.T. has a lot to offer our members. First and
foremost, H.O.T. Dog Club is devoted to the sport of Obedience. H.O.T. presents an annual Obedience Trial and stewards for other organizations at area
obedience events several times a year. We have tracking classes for members and hold TD, TDX and VST Tests every year if you are interested in pursuing a
tracking title. |

are kept informed of upcoming dog-related activities such as trials, matches, seminars and
clinics in Houston and the Gulf Coast area, so they may participate if they want. The club
occasionally sponsors obedience seminars and tracking clinics. New to H.O.T. in 1998
was our first ever, two-day Agility Trial at Willow Glen
Equestrian Center. |

graduation from Basic Classes, H.O.T. offers three types of membership: Probationary,
Regular, and Junior. Prospective members must complete a six-month Probationary membership
period prior to becoming a Regular or Junior member. During the probationary period,
