Anthony 5 Hogan Luna (James 4 Peter 3) was born 28 Nov 1821 (gravestone, Lone Oak Cemetery, Lewisburg, Tenn.) in Lincoln Co., Tenn. (A son of about this age was living with James 4 Looney and his wife at the 1820 and 1830 census of Lincoln Co. and the 1840 census of Marshall Co.) On 14 May 1842 Anthony H. Luna had license to marry Martha A. Briant, and they were married on the 15the by Asa Holland, J. P. (Marshall Marr. I, p. 56). Martha Briant was born 3 Apr 1822, d. 28 Feb 1891.

From the 1850 and 1860 census records of Marshall Co., Tenn.;

	Anthony H. Luna,  b. 1822 Tenn., $3500 (gone 1860)
	Martha A. Luna,  b. 1823 Tenn., seamstress, 1860
	Sarah Greene Luna,  b. 1843 Tenn., seamstress, 1860 (m. 17 Feb 1861 Isaac Collins)
	James Sterling Luna, b. 1845., Tenn., farm hand, 1860
	Mary Luna,  b. 1847 Tenn.
	David 6 Luna,  b. 1848 Tenn.
	Martha Luna,  b. 1852 Tenn.
	Richard Luna,  b. 1854 Tenn.

The death of Anthony H. Luna ca. 1855 or later can be inferred because in 1860 Martha was head of the household. The inscription in Lone Oak Cemetery reads “died 6 Dec 1859”. David 6 Luna represented this family in 1878 at the settlement of the James 4 Luna estate. Anthony H. Luna was a Justice of the Peace in Marshall Co.

Benjamin F. Smith (and/or) Long Luna (James 4 Peter 3) was born 10 Oct 1823 in Lincoln Co., Tenn. He lived at home with his parents at the 1830 census of Lincoln Co. and also at the 1840 census of Marshall Co., Tenn. The 1850 census of Marshall Co. indicates that ca. 1849 he had married Rachel (b. 1832 Tenn.). They were living with his parents, James 4 and Mary Luna, and they had one daughter, Caladonia (1 mo. old). (Ben’s initial as recorded looks like T or S or F, but relatives say his middle name was Long. He was purchaser at the sales of Peter 3 Luna in 1852 as B. F. Luna. In 1878 among heirs of James 4 Luna his was listed as B. F. Luna. On W. T. Dixon’s list of the family with irthdates, he is listed as Benjamin Smith Luna.)

According to the 1850 census, Benjamin and Rachel had at least:

	Caladonia Luna (female),  b. 1850

Richard 5 Smith Luna (James 4 Peter 3) was born 3 Mar 1826 in Lincoln Co., Tenn. He was living with his parents in Lincoln Co. in 1830 and in Marshall Co., Tenn., in 1840. No further record of him has been available to the writer.

Since he is not mentioned in his father’s will and does not seem to have been represented as an heir when his father’s estate was settled on 28 Feb 1878, it is inferred that he had died without issue. His existence is attested by census records of 1830 and 1840 of Marshall Co., as cited above, and also by W. T. Dixon, of Longview, Texas, who gives his full name and birthdate as it appears above.

Malinda 5 “Linnie” “Lenah” or “Lena” Luna (James 4; Peter 3) was born 11 Apr 1813 (Bible Rcds) (1812 on gravestone) probably in Sumner County, Tennessee. She was the third-born daughter of James 4 and Mary “Polly” Thomas (Smith) Luna. Samuel Sanders died 20 Jan 1859 at the age of 59 (gravestone) and was buried in a cemetery on a farm about one-half mile east of Sycamore, Ozark County, Missouri.
