This would be Pete's great great Uncle Ed McAdam, who went suddenly missing from somewhere in rural Kansas between 1900 and 1909. Uncle Ed was born on or near the family homestead near Cunningham, Kansas. We think this picture was taken shortly post-turn-of-the-century. Lots of family legends and even a song or two have sprung up about him in his absence. He's been spotted in many places at many times, though never by irrefutably reliable sources. If you recognize him, you must be really old. Help us discover what became of him and there could be a substantial reward in it for you. But probably not. We've given you plenty to go on, get crackin'!
