Dispute
Resolution Services
In
response to increased inquiries from home buyers, real estate agents and
attorneys, John Cahill will be providing consulting services regarding property
condition related disputes in the year 2000. This service will provide unbiased
factual reporting of conditions as they exist. Areas of expertise include home
inspection standards of practice, termite reports, national inspection standards
and other construction related concerns.
Our
initial service consists of a confidential consultation that investigates the
general scope of the complaint. The purpose of the initial consultation is to
assist you in understanding whether our opinion will assist your case. Please
note that Cahill Inspection Services, Inc. and John Cahill reserves the right to
reject cases that we disagree with or in which a conflict of interests exists.
If
you then choose to pursue documentation and inspection of the conditions at
hand, we will continue our work on an hourly basis. A retainer is required.
Areas
of expertise are:
-
HUD
VC-1 forms. Did your
appraiser or lender fail to meet the requirements of the HUD Handbook 4150.2
resulting in omission of significant defects that affect the value of the
home?
-
Defense
against spurious claims. Is someone knocking on your or your insurance
company's door for a free ride?
-
Termite
problems. Did the inspector fail to comply with State inspection
requirements?
-
Home
inspection problems. Did the home inspector fail to comply with the
Standards?
-
Does
your synthetic stucco or EIFS home have a problem (in development)?
-
Destructive
examination. With proper permissions, we love to take things apart to find
out what is going on. We don't put them back together again.
For
more information call or E-mail
John Cahill. Please be advised if we don't agree with your claim or if there is
a conflict of interest, we will not accept your case.
