Louis Dalgo Walder, 58, passed away on Thursday, May 15th, 2008, in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 9, 1949 in Brewton, Alabama to Margaret Virginia Campbell and Louie Walder, Sr. Louis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge for his service.
Louis was preceded in death by both parents and 2 brothers: Louie Walder, Jr. and Stevie Ray Walder, Sr. He is survived by 2 sons: Jack Walder & wife Cindy of Fort Hood, Texas and Kevin Walder of Houston, Texas; 3 daughters: Lori Allen & husband Travis of Trinity, Texas, Karen Miller & husband Sonny of Lufkin, Texas, and Holly Walder of Gatesville, Texas; 3 brothers: Robert Walder & wife Bonnie of Spring, Texas, Johnny Walder & wife Cindy of Angelton, Texas, and George Walder & wife CeCe of Angelton, Texas; 4 sisters: Carol Pursley & husband Bill of Hull, Texas, Janie Van Winkle & husband Gary of Liverpool, Texas, Colleen Beacom & husband Bud of Angelton, Texas, and Ginger Johnson & husband Bill of Magnolia, Texas; 22 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Military Honor Memorial Services were held at 1:15 P.M. on Thursday, May 22nd, 2008, at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail. Immediately following the service, there was a time of continued fellowship at Robert & Bonnie's house. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with final expenses.
Louis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
