Robert William Ferguson, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 13th, 2008, in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 14th, 1931 in Lincoln, Arkansas to Sarah Mae Kidd and James Aubrey Ferguson. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge on April 23rd, 1952 for his service. He also served in the National Guard of Oklahoma and as a reservist of the Army until March 25th, 1960.
Robert is survived by his wife LaDon Feguson; 2 sons: Roger Ferguson and Craig Ferguson; daughter Sheryl Mazoch; 4 grandchildren: Sarah Bailey, Ross Ferguson, Desiree Pasternak, and Ashley Smith; 2 brothers: Dale Ferguson and Bill Ferguson; great-granddaughter Madison Bailey Smith; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Viewing/Visitation was from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 16th, 2008, in the VA Chapel at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail immediately following the visitation at 2:15 P.M.
Memorial Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 17th, 2008, at Grace Community Church located at 1021 Campbell Road in Houston, Texas with Pastor Rick Minett officiating.
Robert will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
