Sergio Poli, 80, passed away on Friday, May 16th, 2008, in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 27th, 1927 in Rome, Italy to Francesca Mercuri and Umberto Poli.
Sergio was extremely proud of his heritage. He was an amateur photographer and 'shade tree' mechanic. Sergio had a compassionate, gentle soul and was always willing to help. He loved to tell jokes and was an avid soccer fan.
Sergio was a great Dad and, until the end, dutifully cared for his surviving wife of 55 years, Vera Polo Poli. He is also survived by 2 sons: George Poli and Paul Poli; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 6th, 2008 at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church located at 22800 Aldine Westfield in Spring, Texas, phone 281-353-5053.
Sergio will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
