Jason Dean is the grandson of Conductor James E. Beavers. James works through freight between Fort Worth and McAlester, Oklahoma.
Jason has won two special music awards. He competed for the second time at the National Piano Playing Auditions for Elementary Class in April 1997.
Jason has been taking music lessons for two and one half years. Jason was one of three students chosen from the Anguish House of Music to compete at the Guild. He received seven special commendations for his selections of "The Fly and the Bumblebee" and "Pop Goes the Weasel."
He also received the Best in Music Creativity Award for the 4th grade from Rosehill Christian School. He was presented with this award at Graduation Honors Chapel in May.
He is also part of the school choir. The choir won a superior rating competing in the South-Central Region Music Festival for the Association of Christian School International.
Jason is the son of Greg and Becca Dean of Magnolia.
