This 50 y/o female with a history of previous benign breast biopsy was seen for followup mammography. A palpable mass had been felt in the left breast. Her most recent mammographic study 14 months earlier had been classified as ACR BIRADS category 2 due to some mammographically benign punctate calcifications. The current study demonstrates an area of focal architectural distortion. Needle localization and excisional biopsy of the area revealed extensive pseudoangiomatous hyperplasia of the stroma.
