h Texas Blacksmiths Association is an ABANA chapter formed to help spread the knowledge of the blacksmithing craft. The organization is located in the North Central Texas area, although people from all areas are welcomed to join. Membership fee is $15. NTBA gladly accepts invitations to demonstrate the craft of blacksmithing at public events. To schedule a demo contact NTBA.

NTBA MEETINGS and EVENTS November 8 - Edgewood, Log Cabin Christmas Bazaar. See the Map. Directions: Edgewood Heritage Park, Edgewood. Annual Log Cabin Christmas Bazaar, numerous family events planned. Christmas Bazaar time is 9 am - 4 pm. Edgewood is 10 miles north of Canton on Hwy 80, the park is at North Houston and Elm, (903) 896-4358 (after 6 pm).From I-20 in Canon exit #526 on Hwy 859, travel north about ten miles to the Heritage Park. The historical village contains 14 restored buildings of the 1900 period with a museum and log cabin blacksmith shop. Members are invited to bring forges for demonstrations and items to sell. Free camping is available for Friday night. No meeting for December. Happy Holidays! Coming - April 11, 2009 - Anvil Repair Workshop. For any information about NTBA please email us at dwwilson@flash.net. NTBA has meetings on the second Saturday of each month, (with occasional exceptions). Monthly meetings are located at members shops and other locations such as farm museums in the North central Texas area. Meeting topics and directions are in the club newsletter. Hours are normally from 9 am until 3 pm, however, multi-day events such as IronFest, Hammerfest and Dancing Hammers are weekdays 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday 9 am - noon. Demos are given by club members and guests, and newcomers are invited to participate.
