The BEP FAMILY of MEASUREMENT MODULES

BEP - "Basic elements of Performance"

Modules interface to your computer through a simple serial port connection and can be configured in any combination. This expandable Measurement Toolbox lets you meet both current and future needs.

Currently, there are over 400 distinct measures available across 15 measurement modules. Each module can measure a number of different performance capacities or structural parameters associated with a specific domain. These include:

.

 BEP FAMILY
SYSTEM SOFTWARE

There is only one software pacakge and it is used with any and all BEP modules - or as a stand-alone data gathering tool. Different options are available which can be enabled when the corresponding license is purchased.

BEP for Windows™
HPM System Software

$149.00

A single, Windows-based package that controls every BEP module, manages trials, collects data, and integrates all measures for reporting or achiving with a self-contained database utility. Provides standardized access to all your BEP tools through a "total human" systems model with a common sense hierarchical organization.

The software is included at no charge with BEP module purchases. Manual data entry options make it a useful tool even without BEP measurement modules for many human performance applications.

Direct Sensor Access (DSA) BEP for Windows™ Option

$250.00

Provides real-time data monitoring, collection, and archiving of time-series sensor outputs for many of the BEP modules.

This is an optional license for use of special functionality incorporated intothe "BEP for Windows" host software that must be ordered as a separate item if desired.

The APM FAMILY of MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENTS

This is the first in a planned family of individual self-contained performance measurement instruments or "advanced Performance Meters" (APMs). They will provide many of the measures available with the BEP modules listed above. Our introductory instrument, the Portable Electronic Goniometer, contains a state-of-the-art angle sensor, microprocessor, and digital display for immediate feedback of the measurement result. As a stand-alone instrument, it does not take advantage of the database, testing, or reporting features that are standard in the BEP computer-based system. However, it does provide a convenient and cost-effective way to objectively quantify extremes and ranges of motion where an otherwise more complete measurement system could be excessive or infeasible.

.

APM I
Portable Electronic
Goniometer

$695.00  U.S./Canada

$795.00  International

A stand-alone angle measurement instrument designed to provide quick and accurate measures of extremes and/or ranges of motion for most joints of the human body. The APM I has the functionality of the Cybex EDI 320 Electronic Digital Inclinometer (no longer available) with additional design improvements that make certain range of motion measures even easier!  (Cybex EDI 320 replacement)

BEHAVIOR/ACTIVITY MEASUREMENT and MONITORING INSTRUMENTS

In addition to our commitment to cutting-edge performance capacity measurements, we also understand the need to quantify other parameters related to performance. This includes variables associated with behavior as well as those that represent the demands on performance resources (i.e., task analysis parameters) . The items in this family of products round out our vision of comprehensive approach to human performance.

.

HASDMS I
Human Activity
State Detection and
Monitoring System

$1195.00

A small portable system that detects human activity states (lying/sitting, standing, walking, and running) and logs them in 5 second time increments for up to 10 days. Does not integrate with BEP family of modules.

HPOSS
Human Position
and Orientation
Sensing System

A wireless system consisting of one Base Unit (BU) and up to five (5) Multiple Body Segment Sensor Subsystems (MBS-SS). The system interfaces to a host PC (via a simple serial port connection) and provides time sampled data representing joint angles of the torso, upper extremities, and/or lower extremities. Can be used with BEP VIII to incorporate the human's position in a workspace into the joint angle data set for complete position and orientation information. Includes HPOSS Host Software for PC.
