MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I can not believe this is the final month of the school year. I have really enjoyed the experience of being PTA President. I have learned things about how our school and school district work. I have also learned how many hard working volunteers it takes to make our school so special. When you add all these volunteers to the dedicated staff at Prairie Creek, you get a school which is envied by others across the district. Yes, we are a great school. Thank you for all you do for Prairie Creek and our children.

Congratulations to Liane D. and Jim & Jennie T., both the scrapbook and the directory received highest honors from District 10 Council of PTAs.

Congratulations also to Stacey and Reese who are members of next year’s All District Choir. I look forward to hearing them perform for the RISD Council of PTAs. My apologies to HAILEY for misspelling her name last month.

I hope you will all join us at the May General PTA Meeting. At this meeting we will vote on the disbursements/gifts to the school. Please take time to review the list included in this newsletter. If you have questions, contact any of the committee members. We will also vote to approve the 1999-2000 budget, approve fundraisers for next year and install the officers. Immediately following the general meeting we will be entertained by the 1st and 2nd grade play.

Please join me in wishing our sixth grade class good luck in junior high. We will miss seeing them in the halls of PCE.

For those children that spend time working on Reflections during the summer, the theme for 1999-2000 is: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE…..

I hope everyone has a safe summer. Please make sure that you wear your seatbelts and bike helmets. I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall.
