• The same mold was used to create all the face cabs above.
• "Sanded" means I used progressively finer grits of automotive sandpaper, anywhere from 600 to 2000 grit, then buffed them with a dremel to a very high polish. Unless noted, they are not coated with varnish or sealer. The gloss is the natural clay surface.
• The crackle glaze I use is a 2-part process involving 3 coats of glaze, followed by 2 or more coats of clay-friendly matte, satin or gloss sealer.
• The translucent clay I use is either Premo translucent (no bleach), e.g., row 2, the "translucent blend with bindi;" or Premo with bleach, e.g., row 5, "faux jade with gold molded edge" (note the flat disks of plating inside the clay).
• All of the surface treatments I use can be baked on the clay for added durability.
