I have had an interest in tight clothing for a very long time, I fantasized about wearing (and seeing women wearing) skintight, airtight latex. I knew of no place that made anything like that so I thought I was alone with my craving.
Until recently, fetishism of most any sort was considered a disorder that had to be treated. It was hard for anyone to feel comfortable with themselves if they had such ideas. I myself thought it couldn't be crazy to want to wear rubber, but no one seemed to talk about it, except when talking about sexual disorders perhaps.
It wasn't until about 1974, through a tiny ad in Penthouse Magazine, that I found out about a company in Canada, called Inn-Skin, who made such clothing. I eventually found out about AtomAge and began collecting the issues, seeing many pictures of what I had formerly thought were dreams, and reading many revealing personal stories. There's nothing so therapeutic as hearing from others with similar interest, and John Sutcliffe did a lot to help others feel better about themselves.
I have some of my favorite pictures from the AtomAge magazines, along with other publications, here for anyone who is interested. Almost all (except for the Internet section) were scanned from my personal collection of magazines.
