Amulet Cemetery is located southeast of Tolar on Powell Cemetery Road.  It is located on part of the 160 acres of land that W. G. W. Powell received from the State of Texas when he came to Texas.  At that time the land was in Erath Co. GPS location 32^o 23.215" North, 99^o 53.517" West.

One stone is known to be missing.  It was marked A. M. F. and was located near the stone for J. Fox.

The Amulet (Powell) Cemetery Association meets at the cemetery at 10:00 AM the first Saturday in May to clean the cemetery and to hold a business meeting.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  The second Saturday in May is a makeup day if we get rained out the first Saturday.

The black and white picture of Amulet was provided by Nancy Powell Bowen.  We are not sure of the date, but base on other pictures she has of the same style we are guessing that it was taken about 1935.  It may have been taken in 1932 when O. B. Powell was holding interviews for his book.
