Body of Text Pertaining to Jones' photographs:

"Robert L. Jones exhibits colourful close-up pictures from the everyday life of people in the USA.  And, with these pictures, he stands firmly within the greater American tradition of documentary photography.  A separate room has been given Jones' series 'Concrete Cathedrals' [translated into German as 'Kathedralen aus Beton'].

"On a relatively small format the photographer has made a blueprint of grainaries from the past in the American midwest. Refined perspectives of lines receding back evince the feeling of how they are actually associated with cathedrals. But these are cathedrals of cold concrete, without windows, without ornament -- purely functional buildings of money making."
