13th United States Regimental Hospital
The 13th U.S. Regimental Hospital is a Civil War era portrayal of a
typical Federal regimental hospital. Currently, this organization
involves not only medical and surgical personnel, but also United
States Sanitary Commission, United States Christian Commission, and
Temperance League.
The 13th US Hospital is located in the Houston-Galveston, Texas area.
Surgeon-Major Roy Dabney is the unit commander, and Assistant Surgeon Paul Kendall
is the Executive Officer.
United States Sanitary Commission
The United State Sanitary Commission is a Civil War era civilian
organization formed in 1861 to provide general assistance and relief
to the soldiers of the US Army. It also provided camp inspections relating
to cleanliness, adequacy of food and basic necessities, and other services
necessary to the general health and well-being of the troops. During the
war, the Commission also provided assistance to soldier's in obtaining
medical pensions they were due, and provided invaluable information and
services to veterans in this capacity as well. An excellent write-up on

The United States Sanitary Commission, affiliated with the 13th US Regimental
Hospital is located in the Houston-Galveston, Texas area. Carol L. Creech is
the unit commander.
Medical Section, 13th Demi-Brigade, French Foreign Legion
The Medical Section of the Demi-Brigade portrays typical French Foreign
Legion medical personnel during the 1940-1945 time period. The 13th Demi-Brigade
is one of the few Foreign Legion units to fight as Free French for the entire
period. They served in Norway, North Africa, and Italy. For more information about the

patients within the hospital. These people would be used in both surgical
