I've done extensive editing of the individual cheats, walk throughs, and solutions, to make their appearance more uniform and syntactically correct. "Never use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice." WEBN, Cincinnati, Ohio August, 1999. Because the data for the individual entries has been garnered from multiple locations, as well as in some cases been updated or written by me, you'll find information in this data base, that isn't available elsewhere. Also in some cases, the sizes of my files became substantially smaller than the corresponding original files due to improved data organization.
Much of the database is simply text based, and as such, is suitable for browsing with text only browsers such as Lynx, which obviously aren't used very much anymore. Except that I would think that blind users probably do. Note that the majority of the graphics that are included in this database were in the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format. I am switching them to the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) format in cases where I don't need to maintain transparency as time goes by as good quality compression can be obtained, resulting in smaller graphics files and faster loading times.
Version 3.0.2 of the data base was converted on an Amiga from Amiga Guide format to HTML using MNT's HTMLit conversion program for basic conversion followed by substantial manual editing using Blacks Editor by Paul Schifferer, Clip Board Enhancer by Anthony J. Moringello, and PowerSnap by Nico François, as well as image creation and manipulation with Personal Paint.
Versions 5.0.0 - 6.0.0 of the data base have been created on PCs using the HTML editing capabilities of Homesite 5.5 and graphic manipulation of Fireworks MX 2004, both from Macromedia, which is soon to be Adobe, plus graphic and text capture using SnagIt 7.1.2 - 7.2.4 from TechSmith, with further editing using Boxer Text Editor versions 9.0.0 - 11.0.1 from Boxer Software.
