General advice: The game sometimes requires you to talk to people and to mention certain things before certain options become available.
The Largo Embargo
Assessable locations on Scabb Island: woodtick, beach, swamp, cemetery, peninsula.
Assessable Locations in Woodtick: toll bridge, woodsmith, bar, kitchen, map maker, inn, laundry.
You begin with lots of money in your inventory, though you do not keep it for very long. Largo comes and takes all your money. This is unavoidable. Walk to the right and you'll find a map of the island. Move the cursor around to discover which places are accessible. Go to the peninsula and then walk to the boathouse. Talk to Captain Dread and he'll tell you to get rid of Largo
before you can get off of the island.
Next go into the swamp and walk to the coffin. Use the coffin. Row to the right until you have reached the shack. Now walk to the right and talk to the voodoo lady, Mojo. Ask her about the voodoo doll. You'll get a voodoo shopping list from her: The 4 items are from the dead, head, thread and body.
- Item from the dead - Largo's ancestor. Go to Woodtick. At the toll bridge, look at the sign. Pick up the sign, and you'll find a shovel under it. Go to the cemetery and walk to the graves. Look at the tombstones and locate Largo's ancestor's grave. Use the shovel to dig up the appropriate grave. Get a bone.
- Item from the body - Largo's body fluid. In Woodtick, go to Wally's place (the cartographer). Walk to the pile of papers. Pick up a piece of paper. Now walk to the hatch (bar). Talk to bartender. When you've mentioned Largo, he'll appear and spit something on the wall. Wait for him to leave. Use the piece of paper to get the spit on the wall.
- Item from the head - Largo's hair. In Woodtick, walk to the window (just beside the hatch). This will allow you to enter the kitchen. Walk to the table and pick up the knife. Walk to the inn. Talk to innkeeper. Use the knife on the rope to release the alligator. The innkeeper will run after the alligator so you can enter Largo's room. There, walk to the plastic head and
pick up the toupee.
- Item from the thread - Largo's clothing. In Woodtick, walk to the laundry. Walk to the left, and pick up the bucket. Return to the swamp and look at it. Use the bucket on the swamp to get a bucket of mud. Go back to Woodtick. In Largo's room, first close the door, then put the bucket of mud on top of the door. Wait for Largo to come in. This will soil Largo's clothing. Now follow him to the laundry and then listen to the conversation. Return to Largo's room and close the door. Get the laundry ticket that's behind the door. Go to the laundry and give the ticket to the old man to get Largo's clothing.
Now return to the Swamp and talk to Mojo. Give her the four items and she'll give you a voodoo doll and some pins. Next go to Woodtick and enter Largo's room. Use the pins on the voodoo doll. This will cause Largo to leave the island.
Go to the peninsula and talk to Captain Dread. You'll need to find something for him first. Go to Woodtick and then walk to Wally's place. Talk to him and do not leave until you're sure that he has nothing more to tell you. Wait for him to put down his monocle, then pick it up. Return to the peninsula and give the monocle to Captain Dread. He'll will now need you to get 20 pieces of eight first.
Return to Woodtick and walk to the laundry. Talk to the pirates and agree to buy wood polish. Now walk to the woodsmith's place. Talk to him and buy the wood polish. Walk to the laundry and then use the wood polish on the peg leg. You'll get a piece of eight each time you do that. But that won't give you sufficient money to pay the Captain. So, you'll need to find a job and earn some money. Go to the beach and pick up the stick. Go to Mojo's place in the swamp. Look around. Pick up the string. Return to Woodtick and walk to the inn. Look at the bowl. Pick up the cheese squiggles.
Walk to laundry and open the box. Use the stick on the box. Use the cheese squiggles on the box. Use the string on the stick. Wait for the rat to eat the cheese. Pull the string to catch the rat. Open the box and get the rat. Go to the kitchen (enter it from the window) and put the rat in the pot. Now walk to the bar. Talk to bartender. Ask him about the stew. He'll check the stew and find the rat in the soup. As a result, the cook is fired and you got a new job. The bartender will give you 420 pieces of eight.
Go to the peninsula and talk to the Captain.
Four Map Pieces
The three accessible islands are: Scabb, Booty and Phatt.
Outside the boat. Pick up parrot chow and then read the book about Big Whoops to find out which individuals have the map pieces.
- Map piece from Rapp Scallion the cook. Go to Booty Isle and enter the antique shop. Buy the well polished saw (near the door). Go to Woodtick on Scabb Isle and then walk to the laundry. Use the well polished saw on the peg leg. Now walk to the woodsmith's place. He'll be out for emergency service. Pick up a hammer and some nails. Return to Booty Isle and enter Stan's coffin shop. Talk to him. Ask him to show you the coffin. When he is in, close the coffin. He'll give you a hanky. Close the coffin again. Use the hammer with the nails to trap Stan inside the coffin. Get the crypt key.
Go to the cemetery on Scabb Isle. Use the crypt key to open the crypt. Enter the crypt and you'll find many coffins with quotes on them. You'll need to find out which one is Rapp's coffin before you can open them. Go to Phatt's Isle, where you'll be captured and thrown in jail. Open the mattress and pick up the stick. Use the stick on the bone. Give the bone to the dog. Get the key and use the key to open the jail door. Get the envelopes. One of them contains your personal item and the other contains a banana and an organ.
Walk to the library and borrow a few books. Get a temporary library card from the librarian. Borrow the book on voodoo "receipts: the joy of hex". Go to the mansion and open the gate. Walk to the door and enter. Talk to the guard and find some reason to make him leave. Go upstairs. Use a book (any one will do) to swap with the book from the governor. Look at the book. It contains all the famous quotes of many pirates.
Go to the cemetery on Scabb Isle again. Look at the coffins. Open the coffin of Rapp Scallion and look inside. Pick up some ash. Now go to the Mojo's place in the swamp. Look at the jar. One of them is the ash 2 life potion. Talk to Mojo. Give her the ash of Rapp Scallion and get the ash-2-life potion from her. Use the book of voodoo receipts when needed.
Return to the cemetery and use the potion on Rapp's ash. Talk to Rapp. Agree to check up on his hut and get a key from him. Go to the beach and use the key to open the door to the weenie hut. Use the knob to turn off the gas. Return to the cemetery and talk to Rapp again. He'll now give you a map piece.
- Map piece from Young Lindy, the cabin boy. Go to Booty Isle and walk to the antique shop. The map piece is on sale there for 6 million pieces of eight. You'll need to find the head piece from the Mad Monkey to exchange for it. Buy the horn. Talk to Captain Kate (the women with the big hat). Get a leaflet from her.
Go to spitting contest. Try spitting. Walk to the flags and look at them. Try to pick them up. Use horn. All the people there will be distracted for awhile. Pick up the flags and shift their position. Now try spitting again. You'll do a bit better, but will still not be good enough.
Go to Scabb Isle and go to the bar. Show the library card to the innkeeper, which allows you to buy drinks from him. Buy the blue and yellow drinks. You'll be given a crazy straw. Use the blue drink on the yellow drink to make a green drink.
Go to Booty Isle and then go to the spit master. Use the crazy straw with the green drink. This will make your spit thicker. Try the contest again. Not bad, this time you win second place. Try spitting again, but this time spit only when you find the women's scarf is flying, indicating that it's windy, and allowing you to win the contest and receive a plaque.
Go to antique shop and sell the plaque to the dealer for 6000 pieces of eight. Talk to Captain Kate and charter her ship, but don't set sail just yet. Go to Phatt Isle.
Borrow the book "Disaster: Great shipwrecks of the century". Read it and write down the location of the sunken monkey. Return to Booty Isle and talk to Captain Kate again. Look for sunken treasure. Go to the location indicated in the book. Dive for treasure. When you've found the ship, pick up the head piece. Use the anchor to go up. Go to antique shop. Give the head piece to the dealer, and get the map piece.
- Map piece from Captain Marley. Go to Phatt Isle and go to alley. Talk to man. Play the game. You'll always lose in the game. Notice that the little guy always wins and that this appears to be fishy.
Follow the little guy to another alley. Observe what he does. After he leaves, knock on the slot on the door and ask about the next winning number. You'll be shown two signs. Always answer with the number of fingers you are shown previously (e.g. if shown 4 then 5, answer 4; if shown 5 then 2, answer 5; if shown 1 then 2, answer 1; etc.). Remember the number and go play the game again. You only need to win the invitation card. There is no need for any of the other prizes.
Go to Booty Isle and go to costume shop. Give the invitation to the man. Get your costume. Go to the mansion where the guard will stop you and demand an invitation card and a costume. Wear the costume and go to the governor's mansion. Go to the side of the mansion and open the door to the kitchen and enter. Try to get the fish and you'll be chased outside. This time, try to pick up the trash can, which irritates the chef and he will chase after you. Run around the mansion and re-enter the kitchen. Now pick up the fish.
Enter the mansion and pick up the map piece. Exit the mansion and try to get away. The dog and the gardener will stop you and bring you to Elaine. Get as near to her as you can and talk to her as sweetly as possible. After she has thrown the map piece outside the window, pick up the oars. Exit the mansion and try to pick up the map piece. The wind will blow it away to the cliff. Pick up the dog.
Go to the cliff and walk to the side. Look at the map piece. You'll need something to get the map piece with. Go to Phatt Isle and walk to the pier. Talk to the fisherman and bet with him. Give him the fish to get the fishing pole. Return to the cliff on Booty Isle. Walk to the side of the cliff. Use the fishing pole on the map. A bird will take the map away.
Go to the area where there's a big tree. There is a plank in one of the holes. Pick up the plank. Use the oar in the first hole. Walk to the tree and then stand on oars. The oar will break and you'll have a dream. The necessary information will be written in the piece of paper in your inventory.
Go to Scabb Isle and then to Woodtick. Go to the woodsmith's place and give him the oars, which he'll fix for you. Now return to the big tree on Booty Isle. Use the oar in first hole and then stand on it. Use the plank in the second hole. Stand on the plank. Pick up the oar and put it in the third hole. Stand on the oar and pick up the plank and put it in the fourth hole, etc., until you reach the top of the tree. Enter the door and look at the pile of maps. Use the dog to get the map piece.
- Map piece from Mister Roger, the first mate. Go to the big tree on Booty Isle again. Pick up the telescope. Go to the Wharf and then to the antique shop. Buy the sign beside the parrot. Notice the hook behind the sign. Use the parrot chow with the hook. The parrot will turn to look at it. Buy the mirror. Go to the bar on Scabb Isle. Use a banana on the metronome. Pick up the
monkey. Now go to Phatt Isle and use leaflet (from Captain Kate) on the poster. Leave the island and Captain Kate will be captured. Enter the jail. Use the key to free her. Pick up the envelope containing her belongings. There is a half full bottle of grog inside.
Go to the waterfall and walk to the path above it. Use the monkey on the pump and the water will stop flowing. Enter the cave, which leads you to the cottage. Talk to the man. Attempt the challenge and see what happens. You'll definitely lose if you don't do something. Take the challenge again. Pick up the mug and use it on the tree to empty it. Then use the mug with the half full bottle of grog, which allows you to win the contest.
Walk to the trapdoor and push the brick. You'll fall straight through the tunnel. Ok, let's try that again. Open the window first. Use the mirror on the mirror frame. Go outside the cottage and use the telescope on the grotesque statue. The sun ray will burn a hole in the brick. Push the brick again. Look at the skeleton. Pick up the map piece.
Go to the library on Phatt Isle. Open the lighthouse model and pick up the lens. Now go to Wally's place on Booty Isle. Give him the lens and the map pieces. He'll ask you to run an errand for him. Go to the swamp and talk to Mojo. Get the juju bag. Look inside, where you'll find a love bomb and a box of matches.
Go to Wally's place in Woodtick. You'll find that he's been captured by LeChuck. Return to the swamp and notice that there's a box laying near the swamp. Look at, open, and use it.
Le Chuck's Fortress
Walk to the right where you'll find lots of signs. Don't enter just yet. Walk to the right tunnel and look at the jail. Talk to Wally. Walk back to the signs. Enter the back tunnels. Look at the piece of paper you have. Push bones according to what is written on the piece of paper. You'll need to do it four times, each time using one of the verses.
You should find a huge door, which may look complicated, but you simply need to open the door. This leads you to a doggie door. Pick up the jail key. It's a trap and you'll be hanging in the air in no time. For the most part, you are unable to move, but you can still use your mouth. Use crazy straw on the green drink. You can spit on many places but you only need to concentrate on two places: the pan (just below Wally) and the shield (to your right). Notice that they changes their angle slightly each time that you spit on them. Spit on them to adjust their angles. The correct angle will let you spit on the shield and it then bounces off to the pan which in turn
sends it to the candle, which turns off the light and you can escape.
In darkness, use the box of matches to light up the place. Oops, seems that you have done it in the wrong place.
Dinky Island
Talk to Herman. You must talk for a long time before you hit on the right answer. There are many thing on the beach. Pick up the crowbar and the martini glass. Use the glass with the ocean. Use the glass of sea water on the sill to get distilled water. Pick up the bottle in the ocean and use it on the rock to break it. Open the barrel to get the cracker. Now give the
cracker to the parrot. Note what it says.
Enter the jungle and walk to the left all the way to the big tree. Use the broken bottle on the bag. Get the cracker mix. Use the distilled water on the cracker mix to get two crackers.
Walk to the pond (walk right three times). Pick up the rope. Use the crowbar on the box. Get the dynamite sticks. You should find the parrot there. Follow its directions and give another cracker to it. Give it the last piece of cracker and you should find the big X. Use the shovel on the big X. Use the matches on the dynamite sticks. Use dynamite on the hole to blow it up.
Use the crowbar with the rope. Use crowbar 'n' rope with the metal rod. Watch what happens. In darkness, move the cursor around until you find the light switch. Turn it on. Oops, Lechuck is here and he will zap you to a random room. So, try to become familiar with the different places so you can do things fast.
In the first aid room. Open the trash can to get the two surgical gloves. Open the drawer to get the hypodermic syringe. Pick up the skull.
In the room with many boxes. Open all the boxes that can be opened. Pick up the root beer, voodoo doll, and balloon.
In any room where you find LeChuck, give him the hanky. He'll blow his nose and return the hanky to you.
In the room with the broken grog machine, use the helium tank with the two surgical gloves and the balloon. This will make you lighter. Use the coin return and a coin will drop out. Wait for LeChuck to enter the room. He'll bend down to pick up the coin. Pick up his underwear.
Enter the elevator when you come to it. Use the three balloons, that you have with you, to go up. Wait for LeChuck to come in and then use the lever to go up. Then shut the door and you'll get LeChuck's beard.
Use the juju bag with the voodoo doll, beard, underwear, used hanky and skull. Mix them together to get a voodoo doll for LeChuck. Now, it's time for revenge. Walk around to look for LeChuck. When he enters the room, use the syringe on the voodoo doll. He'll run away from you. Walk around to look for him. From now on, you can sit back and go through the end game.
