The Collier 2x3PM provides the ultimate in versatility for the assembly of mixers with virtually unlimited numbers of channels and unlimited numbers of bands of parametric equalization on each respective channel. A picture is shown below, followed by a complete statement of its electronic specifications.

The new 2x3 Parametric Mixer, like its 2x3EQ predecessor, provides 3 fully parametric bands of equalization on each of two independent channels, its theta-squared volume-control tapering provides automatic front-end padding of its channels' preamps, to accommodate EQing of low-lev and high-level sigs alike, and it has all the other fundamental capabilities of its predecessor, the 2x3EQ.

- PLUS -
0) For rugged structure and sleek appearance, the 2x3 Parametric Mixer comes in a stainless steel cabinet except for its 1/8th-inch thick black-anodized aluminum front-panel, for light weight. The entire unit weighs only about 5 pounds, and despite the 26 knobs, 5 switches, 7 jacks and pilot light all on its front panel, it takes up only 3.5 inches of height from your rack space. Its chassis dimensions (except extensions from knobs and switches in front and back) are 19"x 3.5"x 5.125".
- PLUS -
1) The 2x3 Parametric Mixer has both balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs, on its back and front panels, respectively, and
- PLUS -
2) Switchable 48-Volt phantom power is available at each channel's balanced input.
- PLUS -
3) Each channel has its own independently equalized channel output, provided in addition to the two channels' mixed output. More importantly, the mixer puts out not only the mix of the two equalized channels, its mix also includes two additional external inputs (3 and 4), each injected into the mix with unity gain. So two pre-equalized external inputs, 3 and 4, can be mixed into the mixer output to accompany the two equalized channel outputs, 1 and 2. This is ideal for mixing in the outputs from external 2x3s, expanding your number of mixed equalized channels. Accordingly,

fully parametric mixers with
virtually any number of channels

can be assembled in your rack space using 2x3 Parametric Mixers.
- PLUS -
4) Continuously variable Low-Cut and High-Cut Shelves are provided on each of the two equalized channels.
- PLUS -
5) Each channel of the 2x3 Parametric Mixer also has an EQ-Bypass switch, and, a phase-inverting switch is also provided for each of the two channels, for an additional means of signal control useful in some tricky acoustical situations.
- PLUS -
6) And those are only the NEW features! The multitude of all the other great features are shared with the predecessor, the 2x3EQ.

Best of all, despite all these excellent features, the 2x3 Parametric Mixer will sell for only $780. This low-price is a feature not available from any competitor's parametric equalizer, but we can do it because of our patented electronic method! If (or when) you're in Austin, you can see them at

Chassis Dimensions: 3.5" high x 19" wide x 5.125" deep
Power Requirement: 120 VAC @ < 0.3 Amps

2 channel preAmp/Parametric-EQ/Mixer with
3 fully parametric bands and variable lo-cut and hi-cut filters on each channel. Each channel can be independently equalized with its own three-band fully parametric EQ. This EQ can be switched in or out as desired. Each of the two channels is separately output, and both channels are also presented in a mixed output. Alternatively, the two channels can be driven in sequence to provide a 6-band one-channel parametric EQ.

The mixer also has two additional inputs for external sources that can be mixed into the 2x3's mixed output. Outputs from other 2x3s are typically used for driving these inputs 3 and 4. The inputs 3 and 4 are transferred directly into the mixed output with flat response and unity gain. These inputs will accurately mix in signals from other sources with driving impedances as large as 10 KOhms. They are input through phone jacks on the front panel just above the unbalanced mixed output, at the center of the front panel.

General response features are as follows:

Input Impedances

Output Impedances: <100 Ohms per phase (each output)

Max Overall Voltage Gain: (flat response setting) 20 dB

Volume tapering:

Balanced input:Audio tapering
Unbalanced input:Theta-squared audio-by-audio tapering

Dynamic range: > 100 dB

Shelf Ranges:

Lo-Cut Corner:16 Hz to 175 Hz (Continuously Variable)
Hi-Cut Corner:3.2 KHz to 37 KHz (Continuously Variable)
