The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble (ACWE) is Austin's oldest community band and is an ensemble formed of both amateur and professional musicians.
The mission of the band is twofold: to provide an ensemble for Austin area musicians who want to pursue music performance as a hobby, and to bring public performances of great concert band literature to the Austin Area.

After 5 years of excellent leadership at ACWE,
our current conductor, Rick Glascock,
is moving on to other endeavors.
We are currently searching for a conductor
to help us continue creating
fantastic musical performances for our adoring public!
