Unlike my web site "Hot Rods: Fact or Fiction" this site shows photos I took of objects I have no explanation for. The photos I took of rods, has a logical explanation (at least to me). But the photos here baffle me. What are they? Alien craft? Government "black" projects? I don't know. I'll let you be the judge.......

Thethree photos below (taken January 28, 2004), I took using my Olympus Digital C-750 Ultra Zoom, in night mode. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary as I was taking the photos of Venus. Nothing bright except Venus, about 30 degrees above the western horizon. but when I got back into the house and looked at the photos, I saw these strange triangular shaped objects. I have no clue as to what they are.

Venus with strange object

Venus with strange object and two bright "stars."

These objects were two of four objects in the first photo! The photo is just too big to show here. But I made a drawing of the arrangment of the objects.

The photo below was taken February 26, 2004. It was unusual because it was traveling in a direction that I've never seen planes travel (southeast to northwest). Living 50+ miles from a military base, and an International Airport, I've seen lots of jets pass over our house, but never in this direction. The object was somewhat lower than a lot of the jets I've seen. And every once in a while a contrail could be seen coming from it, then disappear, then reappear ... as if smoke was coming out of it. At first I thought it might be a plane in trouble. Two curious notes: 1. I never heard a sound, though at that altitude, I've always heard the engines. 2. All the planes I've taken pictures of at this altitude, I've been able to zoom in and see the wings, and tail section ... even if it was somewhat grainy. But as you notice, this object never showed a defined shape, just a big bright dot of light with a reddish "dome" at the top. UFO? I don't know.

If you want an educated guess, it's probably a jet. Maybe it looked like that because of the angle of the sun and the angle of the object. It was late in the afternoon and maybe the sun was glistening off the fusaluge of the plane just at the right angle to give it that shape. And as for the direction? I'm not out looking at planes all the time (though neighbors think I am), so I can't really say that planes have never flown in that direction.

The next photos I can't explain away with any kind of logic (at least my logic). I was taking photos of some clouds and saw this jet flying overhead. I zoomed my camera to get the jet ,when suddenly I saw this bright dot going in the opposite direction (the jet was going west, the reddish-hued dot of light was going east). It looked like a bright star, or the International Space Station ... but stars don't travel west to east, or travel across the sky that fast, and I got online to NASA's site to see if the International Space Station was flying over, but it wouldn't be visible in my area for days, and I don't think you can see it in broad daylight, anywhoo. But I may be wrong.

Could it have been a sattelite? A very hight-flying jet? I don't much think so. So I have no idea what it was, By the way, I also got a 3 second video of it using my camera's video feature. It's not a good video , but it was good enough to show that it was a reddish dot of light going at a fast clip.

This isn't the only time I have seen something strange in the sky. One night as I was coming home from a meeting, (this was about four or five years ago), I glanced up through the windshield and saw a falling star streaking westward across the sky. That is, I thought it was ... until it suddenly did a right angle turn and went north! A couple of months later, a friend send me a wave file of communications between pilots and air traffic controllers in the area, who, that night, were freaking out (as much as a trained professional pilots and traffic controllers freaks out), about strange glowing objects flying around!

But if you ask me if I believe in alien aircraft, the answer is no. Not that I don't think there is intelligent life out there. I just think they are too intelligent to come here ... unless of course, they think humans are some kinda freak show, and they are selling tickets. I guess the reason I don't believe in them, is because I don't want to think beings are slinking around behind our backs, abducting, experimenting, or heaven's only knows what else. Instead, I'll think of what I saw as wonderful moments of strangeness, in an ordinary day.

Stay tuned ... I'm always looking up, and if I catch something strange or interesting I'll post it here.

If you want to email me, please put in subject line "UFO's: Fact or Fiction" or my SpamGuard will toss it out. If I don't answer your email ... 99% of the time it's because Spamguard worked too well. For the other 1% ... either aliens intercepted it, or you freaked me out.
