Alright, I admit it. One of the things that makes the show so appealing to me is all the beautiful bodies. And since the costumes are part of that appeal, I thought it would be fun to make up a catalog, describing all the outfits we've seen our two heros wear.

Below is a list of the episodes aired on American TV to date (through the end of the fifth season). Under each episode, I've listed the costumes worn by Xena and Gabrielle. Each description is linked to an image of that outfit. (Some of these links are not yet ready-I'm still looking for good images)

"none" indicates that there were no costume changes that episode.

If there is no entry for an episode, that means I haven't yet reviewed that episode for costume changes.

I'm constantly updating this page, adding more and/or better pictures. So please check back often for updates.

When the actors play more than one role, I've still tallied the costume changes, even though technically the outfit was worn by a different character. So strictly speaking, this is actually a tally of the costumes worn by the actresses, Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Conner.

Season One

Xena's standard outfit, the black leather teddy with the metal armor overlaid, has changed little (not at all?) over the seasons.
In this season, Gabrielle started out in a long-skirted peasant dress. About mid-way through the season she changed to an amazon outfit, a short skirt and bare-midriff top.
