Course Information:

National Certification: Discussion  and review of the Men’s FIG Code of Points will occur on Sunday November 14, 2004. Successfully passing a written examination is required. These tests will be given on Sunday afternoon. Beginning judges must be 18 years old and have competed optional level routines and/or coached at an optional level for two years.

JO Certification: The major portion of the JO material will be presented on Saturday. There will be discussion of the compulsory routines, composition of the modified optional routines, and elite  optional routines. To certify for compulsory levels you only need to attend the Saturday course. To certify for modified optional and optional level competitions you should attend both days for the discussion and review of the Code of Points. Since judging optional routines will be a major portion of the judging assignments, the discussion of optional parts will begin on Saturday and continue into Sunday. Beginning judges must be at least 16 years old.

Be Prepared: Read and study the JO Compulsory Updates with the new levels and the Mens’s FIG Code of Points.

Cost: The cost for JO and/or National Certification is $65.00. If you are a High School or college student, the cost is $45.00). Auditing the course is $ 25.  Checks are easier than cash. Make checks payable to the NCGJA.

Business Meeting: We will spend a short amount of time on new business for the upcoming season.

New Recruits: If you are a coach or gymnast we encourage you to become an active member in the judges association. It is very important for all old and new members to attend and be involved in the process. First year judges who judge a minimum of three (3) meets will be eligible for a $25.00 rebate from the NCBGA at the end of the season.
